LETTER: Antigua and Barbuda should stop pretending this is a battle they can win.

    This writer is an idiot..

You are a day late and a dollar short you fool.

This ‘best deal’ you talk about was on the table when Trump was blowing up boats in the international seas, and at the same time going after Maduro, but instead, many of you stand behind GB and his foolish rhetoric about ‘Antigua is friends of all and enemy to none’.

He should have stood with the US back then, but instead, he use his energy to go after the leader of TT, claiming she is against the OECS nations for standing with the US over Maduro.
Many of you on here were provoking GB to stand up to the US, and saying the US had no right to intervene in Venezuela politics, when at the same time, millions of Venezuelans themselves wanted Maduro gone. How tone def can you be as a leader?

So talk straight and speak the truth as to why we are here today..if GB was looking out for his people, he would have taken my advice and choose the lesser of both evils, but no, he listened to silly people like this writer.

Do you see T&T getting squeezed, nope..there is a reason for that.

But I’ll give another bit of advice to GB, and again freely. That cart has already bolted down the road, there is no way to get Trump back in your good graces,so you might as well say no to any offer that’s on the table about accepting deportees from the US.
Like I’ve said before, Antigua has nothing to offer the US, so there is nothing for Trump to reconsider.
It’s either you say yes or no, because neither one won’t change the Donald’s stance on how he thinks of you for not backing him.

That’s my advice..but as usual, I know you won’t listen to a opposer like me, your pride is too big for that. Their is no win or ‘best deal’ in this for Antigua, because even if you accept deportees from the US, Trump would not lift any restrictions on Visa.

What you do not understand, is that these things were also written in the laws of Trump’s administration..it’s not just drop visa for Antigua and leave it for the rest because Antigua accepts the deal. Have you noticed that all now no information about the deal has been mentioned, because there is nothing good in it for Antigua..there is nothing in the write up of the deal that speaks about lifting visa restrictions.

And don’t bother GB, because Trump is not budging..you had your cards dealt to you, and you played them terrible.

So foolish writer, there is no win in this for Antigua, none. And that’s all because your unwise leader who cannot read the temperature in the room, botched this entire thing over a year ago.
