A woman came to Luz this Thursday, June 26, amid the rubble of a collapsed building in the state of La Guaira, a region of Venezuela heavily hit by two earthquakes, of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5, late Wednesday afternoon.
According to the international press, the woman went into labor during the rescue operation, and it was the rescuers themselves, along with several civilians, who helped her give birth before mother and baby were transported to a hospital.
Images on social media show several people improvising a space to assist the birth in the middle of the wreckage.
