Around fifty people gathered at Place d’Armes on the evening of Monday, June 23 for a peaceful demonstration aimed at raising awareness of violence against children and promoting stronger protection for young victims.
The event brought together residents, community representatives and several elected officials from the Principality, including Mayor Georges Marsan and Deputy Mayor Chloé Boscagli.
Organised by Délia Kriel, the gathering opened with a speech calling for greater vigilance and action to safeguard children from abuse and mistreatment. Participants then observed a minute of silence in memory of victims before taking part in a series of symbolic tributes, including musical performances and a cello recital.
The initiative comes during Monaco’s presidency of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers, a period during which the Principality has placed particular emphasis on protecting vulnerable individuals and combating all forms of violence.
The event served as both a moment of remembrance and a public call for continued efforts to strengthen child protection and support those affected by abuse.
