The General Council of the National Electoral Institute (INE) endorsed the registration of the organizations Building Peace Societies and People Adding as the new national political parties PEACE and We Are Mx.
In an extraordinary session, the councilors endorsed only by majority vote that both organizations can receive public financing as of July 1 and the condition for Somos Mx not to lose the registration of changing its pink color and political name before that date.
The National Electoral Institute (INE), in open division among its advisors, discusses this Thursday night the creation of four new political parties: We are Mexico, Mexico Has Life, Building Peace Societies and Let Democracy Continue.
The second extraordinary session of the General Council of the INE, where five projects will be voted on to endorse four registrations and deny that of an organization, began after 5 p.m. this Thursday with marked differences between the ministries.
Regarding the document that the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) sent to the INE on Tuesday night, the councilors have debated whether the organizations Que Follow Democracy and Mexico Has Life deserve to have the registry for the financing irregularities that the FIU detected.

In a first intervention, counselor Arturo Chávez stated that the INE should not grant registration as a political party to organizations that present financial opacity, tried to buy electoral officials and they falsified data of their affiliations.
Counselor Frida Gómez Puga reserved both projects and asked the General Council of the INE to change the direction of two projects and deny registration as a political party to the organizations México tiene Vida and Que Siga la Democracia due to irregularities in their affiliation and financing.
Regarding Mexico Has Life, Gómez Puga highlighted that the number of assemblies in which the presence of ministers of worship was not reported does not reach the minimum required by the regulations and the law to give it registration as a political party; In addition, he highlighted that contributions of up to 719 thousand pesos from unauthorized people were detected.

Councilors Arturo Castillo and Uuc-kib Espadas took a stand against prohibiting the organization Personas Sumando, better known as Somos México, from using the name and color after the local party Fuerza México Tlaxcala claimed the similarity of its logo.
Also, according to the project that the General Council will discuss, the name Somos México “constitutes an expression that is not neutral, but rather a composition of words with a semantic and pragmatic load that transmits an idea of belonging or connection between a political organization and the Mexican nation; while, regarding the colors used in the emblem, they could generate reasonable confusion among the electorate with those used by the three existing local political parties, due to the similarities and similarities described.”
With 6 votes in favor and 5 against, the INE endorses the registration of We are Mexico with the condition that it changes its name and color on the emblem due to “reasonable confusion” with the local party Fuerza México.
With 9 votes in favor, the INE grants registration as a national political party to the political organization Building Peace Societies.
With six votes against, the General Council of the INE denies registration to the organization Mexico has life for financial irregularities and affiliation with ministers of worship.
With 7 votes against, the INE denies registration to the political organization Let Democracy Continue for irregularities in the financing of their activities.
