The activists entered a building and closed the door. Thunberg had expected a dialogue, but police arrived with dogs and guns.
“I thought Denmark was a country where you have freedom of speech and freedom of demonstration,” says Greta Thunberg.
The prosecutor wants her fined for the action, together with the organization Studerende mod Besættelsen (Students Against the Occupation). The protesters demanded that the university stop its collaborations with Israeli universities.
Thunberg is being charged with the Danish equivalent of trespassing, but she says she should be acquitted. The activists say they voluntarily ended the action and walked out.
