In his farewell speech, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer listed the supposed achievements of his government. Of course, a number of his claims were based on shaky ground, for example regarding the recovery of the national economy. Unemployment is rising steadily because the Labor government has drastically increased employers’ taxes, surprisingly particularly for low earners. Since then, smaller companies in particular have hardly hired any new people, and school leavers and graduates are desperately looking for work.
