Damascus, June 23 (SANA) The 19th edition of the Syrian Medicare 2026 exhibition opened on Tuesday at the Damascus Fairgrounds, with the participation of more than 100 local, Arab and foreign medical companies.
The exhibition, organized by the United for International Exhibitions & Conferences (UIEC) under the patronage of the Health Ministry, features a wide range of companies specializing in medical, laboratory and dental equipment, pharmaceutical industries, hospital supplies and health services, according to the ministry.
Participants represent 365 foreign agencies from 37 Arab and foreign countries, along with a number of Turkish companies, making the event a key platform for showcasing the latest technologies, products and services in the medical and health sector.
The exhibition, which runs until June 26, offers specialists and interested professionals the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in healthcare, medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, while strengthening communication between companies and institutions operating in the health sector, organizers said.
The exhibition aims to facilitate scientific exchanges among participants, stimulate investments, support national medical and pharmaceutical industries, create job opportunities, and equip the health sector with the latest medical and pharmaceutical technologies, ensuring it keeps pace with rapid developments to improve the quality of health services and open new export markets for Syrian medical products.
The opening was attended by Health Minister Musab al-Ali, Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Marwan al-Halabi, Director General of the Syrian Corporation for Fairs and International Markets Mohammed Hamza, and representatives from relevant authorities in Damascus and its countryside.
