A new press distribution platform aimed at strengthening the flow of information across the Caribbean and its global diaspora officially launched yesterday.
Carib Newswire, founded by communications professional Keva D. Muller, has been introduced as a centralized platform designed to help organizations share news and announcements with media outlets throughout the region. According to the company, the service seeks to improve how information is distributed by providing targeted, Caribbean-focused news dissemination.
The platform offers a centralized newsroom where press releases can be published and distributed based on specific islands, regions, and target audiences. Carib Newswire said the initiative is intended to address longstanding challenges related to the visibility and accessibility of Caribbean stories in both regional and diaspora markets.
“There is a need for a more connected and efficient way to share news across the Caribbean,” Muller said. “This platform is designed to make that process more accessible and intentional for both organizations and media.”
At launch, the platform includes a growing network of journalists and media professionals from more than 20 Caribbean territories. This network is expected to provide organizations with additional opportunities to expand the reach and visibility of their announcements.
Veteran Caribbean journalist Clint Chan Tack, who has 27 years of experience and previously served as Senior Journalist at Trinidad and Tobago Newsday, welcomed the initiative.
“Carib Newswire fills a critical gap in the region’s media landscape. By giving journalists timely, verified information from across the Caribbean, it strengthens our ability to report with accuracy and depth. A platform like this supports better journalism and a better-informed public,” he said.
As part of its launch activities, Carib Newswire is inviting organizations across the Caribbean to become Founding Content Partners.
According to the company, the initiative is intended to create a more connected regional media ecosystem while increasing opportunities for Caribbean stories to reach wider audiences both within the region and abroad.
