The Dubai Government Human Resources Department is organizing the Human Resources Forum 2026, under the title “Human Resources in the Era of Assistive Artificial Intelligence,” under the slogan: “Assistive Artificial Intelligence at Work… Humans are in the decision-making position… and policies chart the way.”
The forum brings together an elite group of government leaders, policy makers, technology experts, and heads and human resources officials to discuss one of the most prominent transformations taking place in today’s work environments, which is the growing role of assistive artificial intelligence and its implications for the future of government work, decision-making, and efficient institutional performance.
The organization of the forum comes within the framework of supporting national trends aimed at enhancing the readiness of the government sector for the era of artificial intelligence, enhancing digital government, and building future capabilities, in line with Dubai’s vision of building a proactive, flexible, people-centered government capable of employing technology to enhance productivity, quality of life, and public value.
As artificial intelligence evolves from a tool that supports employees to systems capable of carrying out tasks, contributing to workflow, and influencing decisions related to the workforce, government agencies are required to reconsider jobs, skills, leadership models, and governance frameworks.
The forum discusses how assistive artificial intelligence is reshaping the nature of government work, and what this means for the future of human resources, by focusing on workforce transformation, job redesign, skills development, responsible artificial intelligence governance, employee readiness, inclusion, and the capabilities required for the next stage of government work.
In this context, the Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, affirmed: “The UAE and Dubai have set a clear direction for the future based on building a proactive, digitally enabled, human-centered government that is capable of competing globally. The expansion of the use of assistive artificial intelligence represents an important shift in the way work is designed, implemented, and managed within institutions, and the real challenge lies not only in adopting these technologies, but also in ensuring that they are employed in a way that enhances human capabilities, establishes the efficiency of institutions, and maintains public trust and value.”
He added: “Through this forum, we seek to support government agencies in understanding this transformation, preparing their cadres, enhancing their future capabilities, and ensuring the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence in work environments.”
