On Monday, the Minister of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Muhammad Al-Khalayleh, honored the first graduates of the “Hifaz al-Tanzeel” initiative at the Grand Arab Mosque in Zarqa Governorate, during a ceremony held on the occasion of the initiative entering its tenth year, which culminated in 13 female students completing memorization of the entire Holy Qur’an.
During the celebration, which was attended by Acting Governor of Zarqa, Muhyiddin Al-Adwan, MP Walid Al-Masry, the Imam of the Mosque, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Zoubi, and a number of local community representatives, Al-Khalayla stressed the great importance that the Ministry attaches to Quranic centers as one of the main tools in building humanity, consolidating Islamic values, and protecting young people from behavioral deviations, noting the imminent launch of summer centers for memorizing and teaching the Holy Qur’an in the governorates.
He explained that these centers are witnessing continuous development, represented by an increase in student demand, the development of approved educational curricula for the provisions of recitation and intonation, in addition to the launch of the “Hafiz Certificate” as an official document aimed at honoring and encouraging those who have memorized the Book of God.
Al-Khalayla noted that the ministry’s mission is not limited to memorization and recitation, but rather extends to building a moral system inspired by the prophetic approach, stressing that building a good human being based on the values of honesty and honesty constitutes the basis of development and renaissance.
For his part, Director of the Zarqa Endowments, Ahmed Al-Harahsheh, stressed that caring for the Book of God represents a well-established approach in the course of the Jordanian state, and an extension of the Hashemite continuous care for the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, appreciating the efforts of the Ministry of Endowments in supporting the process of teaching and disseminating the Book of God.
The “Hifdat al-Tanzeel” initiative is an extension of the summer centers organized by the Ministry of Endowments, as it is implemented on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the year, during which students receive memorization and intonation lessons according to a graduated program aimed at completing memorization of the entire Holy Qur’an, in addition to educational programs concerned with morals, the biography of the Prophet, and volunteer and sports activities. The initiative also provides logistical support for participants from various regions of Zarqa Governorate, in a way that strengthens their connection to the mosque and consolidates the values of belonging, giving, and service.
