Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will participate in the 50th edition of the Saba Saba Exhibition 2026, which will be held in the United Republic of Tanzania from 28 June to 3 July.
Khalid Sulaiman Al Salhi, Director General of Marketing and Commercial Affairs and Official Spokesperson for Madayn, stated that the participation of the supervisory team for the promotion of Omani products (OPEX) in this trade exhibition comes to enhance the presence of Omani products in global markets by organising and managing national participations in prominent international exhibitions.
He explained that the exhibition represents a favourable opportunity to attract and localise investments in the Sultanate of Oman and boost exports, as it serves as an important platform to access East African markets and promote Omani products across multiple sectors.
He added in a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA) that the Sultanate of Oman will participate in the exhibition with a pavilion featuring 24 companies representing the industrial, commercial, and service sectors, aiming to introduce Omani industry and the progress it has achieved in the fields of specifications, quality, and packaging.
Al Salhi explained that the team continues to implement its plan during 2026 to participate in a number of specialised international exhibitions, aiming to enhance Omani exports, explore new markets, and build sustainable commercial partnerships.
It is worth noting that the OPEX team — which comprises the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the SMEs Development Authority (Riyada)— works to achieve a set of strategic objectives. Most notable among these are enhancing Omani exports, supporting small and medium enterprises, and attracting qualitative investments to the manufacturing sector, alongside strengthening commercial relations and leveraging economic agreements, thereby contributing to increasing the volume of trade exchange and consolidating the Sultanate of Oman’s position as a vital industrial and commercial hub.
The team’s international participations come within the framework of supporting economic diversification targets, enhancing the competitiveness of Omani products, and opening new horizons for national companies to access global markets. This contributes to increasing non-oil exports, attracting investments, and establishing the presence of the Sultanate of Oman on the international trade and industry map.
