Cairo (Egypt), June 21, 2026 (SPS) – The Sahrawi Republic participates in the seventh annual meeting of the national liaison offices of the African Police Cooperation Mechanism (AFRIPOOL), which it is hosting in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on June 21 and 22.
The meeting will discuss a group of issues related to organized crime, cybercrimes, and others, in addition to future programmed activities in the field of capabilities training and joint operations, with the aim of strengthening the capabilities of member states in the security field.
The annual meeting is considered a major platform for exchanging notes and experiences between the offices of member states and presenting problems that hinder interoperability processes.
The heads of national offices and expert partners from the international police services Interpol, Europol, and the African Center for Combating Terrorism participate in the annual meeting.

The Sahrawi Republic was represented at this meeting by a member of the Sahrawi National Communication Office, Central Director of the National Police, Mr. Sidahmad Laroussi Salama. (Was)
