
Chairman of Khost Mines and Petroleum Maulvi Sadiq Jan Hamza told Bakhtar News Agency that this mine has been handed over to the people of the region for two years according to the new procedure of the Islamic Emirate.
According to him, mining will be done in an area of about two acres with the help of hand tools and will also provide employment opportunities for the people.
Officials added that currently, 18 mines, including chromite and construction materials, are being mined in Khost and hundreds of people have been provided with work.
Residents of the area have welcomed this project and said that through the legal extraction of minerals, the economic status of the people will be improved and illegal mining will be prevented.
It is worth noting that green granite is a valuable natural stone used for buildings, floors, stairs and other decorative and construction works.
