The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, said that he deprived the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, of the Order of the White Eagle, because the “threshold of pain” of the Poles was exceeded.

He said that throughout the 20th century, Poland was free for only 31 years, and the rest of the time resisted the rule of foreign states.
“Either we fought with Soviet troops in 1920, or suffered as victims of German and Soviet totalitarianism, or fought with Soviet colonizers after 1945 until 1989,” the Polish president said.
Direct speech: “Yes, we know what war is, we know what the struggle for independence is, we know what the post-Soviet threat is, and today it is the Russian threat, but we are a proud Polish nation and we have our pain threshold in matters that concern us and our allies.
