Educational activity: On the occasion of the Day of the African Child, celebrated this year under the theme “Guarantee universal access to water, sanitation and hygiene for all children in Africa”, the Casablanca-Settat Regional Multiservice Company (SRM) organized, Tuesday June 16 in Casablanca, an educational activity for the benefit of around twenty middle school students.
On this occasion, the students visited the “Bouskoura 85” water reservoir, as well as the “Eaucéan” wastewater pretreatment station located in Sidi Bernoussi, which plays an essential role in the fight against pollution of the Casablanca coastline. During this educational day, students benefited from simplified explanations on the water cycle, from its collection in dams, through its treatment, to its distribution to homes, while highlighting the efforts made by SRM Casablanca-Settat to preserve this vital resource and ensure continuity of service.
They also discovered the different stages of wastewater treatment as well as the importance of liquid sanitation for the protection of the environment and receiving environments against pollution. The day ended in the station’s educational gallery where the students explored the gallery’s educational pathways as well as its openings overlooking the technical installations of this large-scale strategic infrastructure.
