One person was killed and others were injured in a serious collision between two trains, today, in the north of the British capital (London).
British Transport Police said, in a statement, that one passenger was killed and others were injured in a collision between two East Midlands Railway trains, which occurred in the city of Bedford, north of the capital, London, noting the participation of officers from Bedfordshire Police, along with local fire, rescue and ambulance teams.
Commenting on the accident, James Murray, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, wrote in a post on social media that a number of people were injured, noting that updates are still ongoing regarding the two train collision between Luton and Bedford.
It should be noted that train accidents are considered rare throughout the United Kingdom due to the importance that the authorities attach to rail transport in the country.
