A cold front will cause a drastic drop in temperatures, according to the Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH). The report shows critical frost conditions for the next few days. These will be the days with the lowest temperatures.
According to the latest projections of the Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH), The Paraguayan territory is preparing to receive one of the cold air masses.
Although this friday and saturday pleasant conditions are maintained, with temperatures that even reach 25°C in areas like Upper Paraguay and Anchovythe panorama will change radically in the next 48 hours. Sunday will mark the beginning of the transition, with the entry of the first south winds.
Tuesday and Wednesday, the most critical days
The sudden change will be felt strongly from monday afternoon. Weather maps show rapid progress of a deep blue color especially the national map, which indicates a severe thermal decline. For Monday, temperatures could reach 7°C.

The peak of this phenomenon will occur during the early morning and morning hours of Tuesday and Wednesday. The projections show thermal levels compatible with the meteorological frost formation in much of the country.

It is expected that minimum temperatures may reach from 0 to 3°Cin some areas, and in others of 3 to 7°C. This phenomenon will affect both the Eastern and Western regions.
Alert for the productive sector
The low temperatures of Tuesday and Wednesday could directly impact sensitive crops.

In this sense, citizens are recommended reinforce the coatespecially in children and the elderly. Also protect crops and animals given the imminent risk of frost.
The intense cold would continue, at least, until Wednesdaywhen the polar air mass begins to slowly withdraw from the national territory.
