Israel bombs bridges and railways in Iran

    – We are crushing the terrorist regime in Iran with even greater force and with increasing strength, says Netanyahu.

The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, confirms that the Israeli military has attacked bridges and railway lines which, according to him, are used by the Revolutionary Guards in Iran.

Israel has Tuesday attacked bridges and railways in Iran “used by the Revolutionary Guard”, says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

This is what Netanyahu says in a video published by his office, writes the AFP news agency.

    – We are crushing the terrorist regime in Iran with even greater force and with increasing strength, Netanyahu says in the video.

    – Yesterday our pilots destroyed transport planes and dozens of helicopters at an Iranian airbase. Today they hit the railways and bridges used by the Revolutionary Guard, he says according to AFP.

Shortly before, unnamed Israeli security sources had told the Times of Israel newspaper that the Israeli military has bombed around ten important bridges and railway lines in Iran.

It has happened as part of efforts to prevent the Iranian Revolutionary Guard from moving weapons and other material around the country, say the sources.

Israel’s attack comes less than half a day before a deadline set by US President Donald Trump expires.

Trump has given Iran a deadline of Wednesday at 02:00 to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. If it is not opened, the US will attack Iran’s bridges and power plants, Trump has said.

On Tuesday, he wrote on his social media site, Truth Social, that an “entire civilization is going to die” tonight and will never return.

US Vice President JD Vance warns that the US still has “tools in the toolbox that we have not yet decided to use”.

    – The President of the United States can decide to use them, and he will decide to use them if the Iranians do not change their behavior, said Vance, according to the Times of Israel, during a visit to Hungary on Tuesday.
