Hollywood actor and producer Seth Rogen has stated that he has no plans to work again with his former close friend and colleague James Frank, thus confirming the multi-year breakup of one of the most famous acting tandems in comedy.
The two met at the end of the nineties on the set of the cult series “Freaks and Geeks”, and later achieved success together in films such as “Pineapple Express”, “This Is the End” and “The Interview”.
Their professional cooperation was interrupted after accusations of sexually inappropriate behavior brought against Franko in 2018 by former students of his acting school.
Rogen: Nothing has changed
Two women filed a lawsuit a year later claiming that Franko abused his position as a professor and employer, promising roles in exchange for inappropriate behavior.

In 2021, the actor agreed to an out-of-court settlement worth 2.23 million dollars, without admitting guilt.
Speaking to the New York Times, Rogen said it was a “very personal thing”, adding that his attitude had not changed and that he had not worked with Frank for years.
“I haven’t spoken to him in a very long time and I have no plans to work together again,” the actor said.
The end of a Hollywood partnership
The last joint project of the two actors was the film “The Disaster Artist” from 2017, which was directed by Franko and produced by Rogen.

Their separation marked the end of a collaboration that had been synonymous with successful Hollywood comedies for more than a decade.
Although in recent years Franko has tried to renew his acting career through smaller independent projects, his return to the top of the film industry is still followed by the shadow of the controversies that marked the previous period of his life and work.
