His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, confirmed that Dubai teams continue to work on implementing the Al Maktoum International Airport development project according to the approved timetable, which aims to operate the first phase in 2032.
His Highness said in his official account on the “X” platform: “Dubai teams continue to work on implementing the Al Maktoum International Airport development project according to the approved timetable, which aims to operate the first phase in 2032… Contracts worth 13 billion dirhams are currently being implemented, while more than 10 million hours of work have been completed during the past 15 months, and the pace of implementation will accelerate during the next phase with the launch of strategic projects within the airport worth more than 55 billion dirhams during the next few months…”
His Highness continued: “In Dubai, today we are building the airport of the future with a capacity exceeding a quarter of a billion passengers annually, to constitute a new gateway to the emirate’s future and a major engine for its economic growth for decades to come… Under the guidance and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai is proceeding with the implementation of its major projects with confidence and consistency… and it will continue, God willing, and with the efforts of the faithful, to soar farther with its vision, higher with its ambitions, and faster with its achievements.”
