Passengers aboard the Galleons Passage endured a nightmare sailing to Tobago yesterday as the vessel took over eight hours to reach its destination.
According to reports, the ferry departed Port of Spain around 3pm, but began experiencing some difficulties mid-journey.
The duration of the sailing, which typically lasts approximately four and a half hours, was doubled, frustrating passengers aboard.
There were also complaints that the cafeteria had eventually closed, leaving those aboard unable to get refreshments.
Their woes were reportedly compounded upon arriving at the Port of Scarborough as the vessel was unable to dock for a significant period.
Passengers posting online about their plight said they were still on the vessel close to midnight.
