According to Ekhtaz Online, quoted by Fars, the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that it has been in close contact with the United States, Iran, Pakistan, and Qatar over the past few days to facilitate the arrival of delegations to Switzerland for the possible signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.
According to the announcement, the signing of the memorandum of understanding is currently scheduled for Friday, June 19 in Bürgenstock in the canton of Niedwalden.
The ministry also added: This place has been proposed by Pakistani and Qatari mediators, as well as the United States and Iran. Switzerland acts as a mediator in this process and provides the necessary practical and diplomatic conditions for holding this meeting in its territory.
Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said today in a gathering of ambassadors, charge d’affaires and heads of foreign missions residing in Tehran that the official start of the memorandum will be on Friday, and on the same day, the new round of negotiations between Iran and the United States will begin to reach a final agreement.
According to American sources, America and Iran have already digitally signed this memorandum, which is supposed to be the beginning of 60-day negotiations to reach a final agreement.
