KUWAIT: The Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Centre (ASCC) has announced the launch of its 2026 summer season, featuring a comprehensive program aimed at providing children and teenagers with an enriching and interactive educational experience that combines learning with entertainment while encouraging exploration-based education. In a statement to KUNA on Sunday, the Centre said its summer camp will run from June 22 to July 30 and is designed for children aged between six and 12 years.
The program offers simplified and diverse scientific content across a range of disciplines, including space science, chemistry, physics, biology and geology. It adopts an experiential learning approach that links scientific concepts to practical applications, helping participants develop a deeper understanding through engaging, hands-on activities. ASCC said the summer season will also feature a series of weekly workshops catering to different segments of society, with a particular focus on children. The workshops will include educational tours led by specialized guides, alongside interactive sessions designed to enhance critical thinking, creativity and scientific curiosity.
Among the season’s highlights is the “Scientific Curiosity Club,” which will offer practical workshops in hydraulic engineering and the use of solar energy in various applications, in addition to exploring contemporary scientific topics that encourage innovative thinking among participants. The Centre will also host the “Future Scientists Club,” which provides advanced scientific content introducing young learners to chemistry and material reactions. The program further includes specialized workshops in 3D design technologies, ranging from the use of 3D pens to 3D printers, helping participants strengthen their innovation and design skills.
ASCC stressed that these initiatives form part of its broader mission to promote interactive learning, nurture the skills of future generations and provide educational and recreational opportunities within a safe and inspiring environment. The programs aim to build participants’ capabilities while fostering critical and creative thinking.
