Collecting public feedback is part of efforts to finalize a project aimed at controlling vehicle emissions and developing a transition plan toward electric and clean-energy vehicles, according to the center.
The initiative is one of the city’s key priorities in implementing special mechanisms and policies under the National Assembly’s Resolution No. 98, issued in June 2023.
It also supports the government’s broader strategy of developing a green transportation system and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
The center said the project has reached its final stage, incorporating several important components, including a roadmap for replacing fossil fuel-powered vehicles with electric and green-energy alternatives.
The project also comprises several proposals for policies designed to support residents and businesses throughout the transition process.
Also, it examines solutions for emissions control and the zoning of vehicle management in suitable areas across the city.
To ensure that the proposed policies are practical, feasible, and widely supported by the public, the center is seeking feedback from residents on the project’s key proposals.
The public consultation will provide citizens with an opportunity to directly contribute their views and recommend solutions based on current transportation needs and usage patterns.
In addition, the process will help authorities better understand public expectations and aspirations regarding future policies that support the adoption of electric and green-energy vehicles.
The center emphasized that every contribution from residents will play an important role in refining the project and ensuring that it aligns closely with the needs and expectations of the public.
