On April 16, the Armenia alliance presented the education, science, culture and diaspora section of its pre-election program.
“After 15 years of work, teachers will be considered certified, and their salary will increase,” said Anna Grigoryan, representative of the alliance, while presenting that part of the program.
“The teacher will receive as much salary as he would have received if he passed the certification with high scores. As a teacher who has worked in the educational system for 10 years, I must say that a teacher who enters the classroom every day, communicates with children, transfers knowledge, does not need to go through the certification system in order to increase his salary,” added Anna Grigoryan.
“Judges’ salaries are brought and raised by the National Assembly. Recently, for example, a bill was brought to increase the salary of the Supreme Court judge, and the political majority voted in favor of it. In other words, a judge, a prosecutor, an investigator – all of them should be raised according to the law, and the teacher, who enters the classroom every day, should go through a humiliating certification system so that his salary will be increased,” said the member of the National Assembly.
