Urgent and decisive action taken State of Kuwait In the wake of the heinous attacks launched by Iran on the passenger building at Kuwait International Airport, today, Wednesday, which led to the death of a person of Indian nationality, and the injury of 69 others, with varying degrees of injury, in addition to causing serious damage to the airport building.

While the General Authority of Civil Aviation in Kuwait announced the resumption of all flights Kuwait Airways Only from Kuwait International Airport via Terminal T4, a few hours after flights were temporarily suspended and transferred to alternative airports.

13 hostile ballistic missiles inside Kuwaiti airspace

Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense spokesman Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan said that the armed forces detected and dealt with, today, Wednesday, 13 enemy ballistic missiles inside Kuwaiti airspace, and they were intercepted over a number of residential areas, resulting in some shrapnel falling. The armed forces also monitored and dealt with 17 enemy drones.

While these attacks were widely condemned by several organizations and countries, led by Egypt, which affirmed its rejection and denunciation of these attacks, and stressed its full solidarity with the sisterly State of Kuwait, and also with the Kingdom of Bahrain, which was subjected to missile attacks today as well.

The Iranian attacks, for which the Iranian Revolutionary Guard claimed responsibility, extended to the Kingdom of Bahrain, as the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced that Iran continues its systematic hostile approach through its sinful attacks with missiles and drones targeting civilian objects in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The General Command said that the air defense systems of the Bahrain Defense Force were able to intercept and destroy 3 missiles and a number of drones. It stressed that the deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilian objects and private property is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

Urgent measures for the State of Kuwait

Within the framework of the measures taken by the State of Kuwait in response to these attacks; The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Wednesday, the reduction of members of the Iranian embassy and that two members of the mission were considered undesirable, and gave them 24 hours to leave the country. This was after it summoned the Iranian Chargé d’Affaires to Kuwait and handed him a protest note regarding the Iranian attacks.

    Reject Iran’s false accusations

Kuwait rejected the Iranian claims and accusations against the State of Kuwait, and stressed its refusal to use its lands and airspace to attack other countries, describing the Iranian accusations as “false.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed in a statement “the State of Kuwait’s categorical rejection of the use of its lands or airspace in any hostile actions against any country,” considering that “the false Iranian allegations are baseless and not based on any evidence.” It considered that “the repetition of these allegations cannot in any way justify the attacks that targeted the lands of the State of Kuwait and its civilian and vital installations.”

What is the significance of the Kuwaiti step… and will it lead to severing relations with Iran?

Commenting on the Iranian attacks on Kuwait and their repercussions, Kuwaiti political analyst Tariq Bou Rosli confirmed to Youm7 that the Revolutionary Guard claimed responsibility for targeting the Ali Al-Salem base in Kuwait and the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, claiming that it was a response to American strikes that targeted an Iranian oil tanker and Qeshm Island.

He added that the truth is that Kuwait did not attack anyone and did not launch any attacks on Iran from its lands, skies or seas, but it is paying the price. The explanation for this is that the American-Iranian negotiation is taking place on one side and the Revolutionary Guard is working on the other side. The Revolutionary Guard is escalating in the region, and Washington is negotiating with Tehran and confronting its attacks at the same time. This contradiction is exhausting the Gulf states, which are caught between a rock and a hard place. Iran also believes that Kuwait’s neutrality means that it will not respond. This calculation is morally wrong, but unfortunately it is repeated. Likewise, Tehran has turned to more precise and targeted strikes, and is using this as a pressure card in its negotiations with Washington, at the expense of the security of the Gulf states.

He said: The decision to expel the diplomats came due to the continued Iranian attacks with ballistic missiles and drones that targeted Kuwait International Airport today, killing one person and wounding dozens. The message of this is that Kuwaiti neutrality is not weakness, and the country’s sovereignty is a red line. As for severing relations, I do not think so, most likely, as Kuwait believes that open channels are more useful than silent silence, and geographical proximity is a fact that cannot be canceled by a diplomatic decision. But on the other hand, it is escalating in a gradual and calculated manner, and if the Revolutionary Guard continues, the ceiling will certainly rise further. In the end, it must be known that Kuwait is small in size, but big in position, importance and credibility.

In a related context, Kuwaiti political researcher Dahim Al-Qahtani said that the sinful Iranian attack that targeted Kuwait International Airport represents a dangerous and unacceptable shift in the course of Iranian aggression, not only against the State of Kuwait, but also against the entire Gulf Cooperation Council system.

He added: Targeting a secure civilian facility, causing the death of a traveler and wounding dozens of citizens and residents, is a condemnable act that undoubtedly amounts to war crimes. It is known that Kuwait Airport is a purely civilian facility, and does not include any military bases at all, in complete contrast to the lies promoted by the Iranian media machine. The implementation of this treacherous attack by a drone confirms that targeting the airport was a deliberate and intentional act, and not the result of a technical error or a deviation in directing the missiles.

Kuwaiti researcher: Targeting civilians is a barbaric aggressive method

Al-Qahtani adds that Iran’s targeting of vital and civilian facilities during the truce periods only expresses a barbaric, aggressive method that is completely inconsistent with the foundations of modern life and the values of the international community. This attack carries a great treachery to the State of Kuwait, this neighbor that has always extended the hand of peace and has never caused any harm to the Iranian side. As for the false allegations alleging that planes or missiles were launched from Kuwaiti territory to bomb Iran, the State of Kuwait has repeatedly denied these allegations in an official and categorical manner. These allegations have also become a stupid lie that Iran is unable to prove, as evidenced by its inability to provide any documents or radar data to the UN Security Council to support its false claims.

He said: This horrific attack on people in the State of Kuwait is a horrific matter that requires a serious stance and a firm response from all Arab countries, and that Iranian behavior based on targeting civilian facilities in Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and other countries is like a malignant cancer that will spread to ravage all Arab countries, unless the Arab nation confronts it with a united stand in solidarity alongside the Gulf countries, to deter this Iranian threat and nip it in its cradle.

Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry: We reserve our full right to take appropriate measures to respond

While the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Iranian attack that occurred today, and indicated damage to vital installations, including diplomatic missions. The Ministry confirmed that the attacks led to the death of one person and the injury of others. Emphasizing the State of Kuwait’s categorical rejection of Iran’s blatant aggressive attacks that lead to increased escalation, raise tension, undermine the security and stability of the region, and constitute a flagrant violation of the rules of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and Security Council Resolution No. 2817 of 2026.

She stressed that the security, sovereignty, and safety of the State of Kuwait and the safety of its citizens and residents of its land are a red line that cannot be compromised, stressing that the repetition of these attacks represents an organized aggressive approach, something that the State of Kuwait will not accept or tolerate.
She stressed that the State of Kuwait reserves its full and inherent right to take appropriate measures to respond to these sinful and repeated Iranian attacks, in a manner consistent with international law.
This is the third targeting of Kuwait in less than a week, as the army announced last Monday and Thursday that it had confronted attacks with missiles and hostile drones, the source of which was not mentioned.

On his part; The Kuwaiti Cabinet renewed its condemnation of the Iranian attacks that targeted the country on Monday and Thursday, while reserving the right to take appropriate action to maintain security.
The Council called on Iran to immediately and unconditionally stop these attacks, and hold it fully responsible for them.
On Monday, Kuwait accused Iran of launching new attacks on it, warning that these targets undermine efforts to reduce tension.

Egypt and Arab countries condemn the attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain

In the context of reactions following the attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain, Arab organizations and countries condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted civilian and vital installations in Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirming their categorical rejection of these attacks that affect the sovereignty of the Gulf states in clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
They reiterated that these violations undermine international efforts aimed at restoring security and stability in the region, calling on the international community and the Security Council to take a firm and immediate stance to stop these serious violations and prevent their recurrence in a way that preserves regional and international security and peace.

In this context, Oman condemned the attacks that targeted the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, affirming its categorical rejection of all military actions that would undermine the security and stability of the region, especially targeting civilian and vital installations, which constitutes a violation of international law and threatens the safety of civilians. It expressed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, and its support for the measures they are taking to preserve their security and stability and preserve their sovereignty.
Qatar strongly condemned the Iranian attacks on civilian objects in the sisterly State of Kuwait and the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, including those that targeted Kuwait Airport and led to serious damage to a number of its facilities and the injury of people, and considered them a serious violation of the sovereignty of the two countries, and a blatant violation of the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and their Additional Protocols, and the principles of international humanitarian law, specifically the principle of distinction, the prohibition of targeting civilians and civilian objects in armed conflicts, and the prohibition of indiscriminate attacks.

The Qatari Council of Ministers also stressed the State of Qatar’s condemnation of the repeated Iranian attacks on the sisterly State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and what this represents as a blatant violation of their sovereignty and a violation of the rules of international law and the principles of good neighborliness.
The United Arab Emirates expressed its condemnation of these attacks, which constitute a violation of the sovereignty of countries. For his part, the diplomatic advisor to the President of the UAE, Anwar Gargash, said that no Gulf country should be left facing targeting alone, while the security of the Arab Gulf countries is interconnected.
Also in this context, the League of Arab States condemned in the strongest terms the blatant Iranian attacks on civilian facilities in the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, using ballistic missiles and drones.

For his part, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, expressed his condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the ongoing Iranian aggression against Bahrain and Kuwait, stressing that these cowardly attacks on civilian objects, infrastructure, headquarters and diplomatic missions represent a dangerous and unprecedented escalation, and reflect the Iranian regime’s insistence on pursuing unacceptable hostile policies targeting the security, stability and sovereignty of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

He stressed that the continuation of these attacks reveals Iran’s continued pursuit of unacceptable hostile policies that seek to undermine regional security, in blatant defiance of international law, the United Nations Charter, and all international norms, which requires a firm international stance that puts an end to these dangerous aggressive Iranian practices.
The Secretary-General stressed that the security of Bahrain and Kuwait is an integral part of the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and that the Gulf Cooperation Council countries stand united in the face of these attacks, and fully support all actions and measures taken by the two countries to defend their security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In turn, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, expressed his condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Iranian aggression against Kuwait and Bahrain, stressing that it is a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms and the principles of international humanitarian law.
Al-Yamahi confirmed in a statement that targeting the passenger building at Kuwait Airport with a number of drones; It resulted in serious material damage to the building and the injury of a number of people, as well as the targeting of civilian objects in the Kingdom of Bahrain with missiles and drones, reflecting the criminal nature of the Iranian regime, and represents a dangerous escalation and an unacceptable aggressive approach that threatens the security and stability of the region.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also renewed its solidarity with Bahrain and Kuwait, and its full support for all the measures they take to preserve their sovereignty, security and stability. The Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the brutal Iranian aggression and blatant violation of the sovereignty of Bahrain and Kuwait.
In the same context, Jordan expressed its denunciation of the Iranian attacks that targeted civilian and vital installations in Bahrain and Kuwait, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement, Jordan’s solidarity with the two countries and that it stands with them in all the steps they take to protect their sovereignty, security, stability, and the safety of their citizens and residents.

The Palestinian presidency also expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian attacks that targeted the State of Kuwait, affirming the full solidarity of the State of Palestine and its people with the State of Kuwait, its leadership, government, and people.
Dr. Nawaf Salam, the Lebanese Prime Minister, strongly denounced the Iranian attacks, which represent a serious violation of the sovereignty and security of states, and a direct threat to the stability of the region, stressing that this unacceptable Iranian behavior contradicts the rules of international law and the principles of good neighborliness, and exposes the security of the entire region to further tension and escalation.
