After conducting an investigation, the police stated that the traffic accident occurred when the 75-year-old driver of a car with Šibenik license plates started overtaking an electric bicycle when exiting the right-hand bend on a straight section.
While braking, the front right part of the car collided with the rear left part of the electric bicycle, which was driven by a 67-year-old Slovenian citizen. Dnevnik.hr reports that he was driving in the same direction towards Betina and was not wearing a protective helmet.
