A police constable on Friday pleaded not guilty to a rape charge.
Nigel Brown Jr, 34, entered his plea at his arraignment before Supreme Court Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns.
The charge relates to a 16-year-old girl who is known to Brown, and the offense allegedly happened on Mayaguana in June 2025.
Brown, who is suspended from duty and on bail, was told that his matter was assigned to Justice Darron Ellis, who will set a trial date on June 2.
