Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that he discussed the unprecedented escalation of tensions in the Persian Gulf region with CIS officials. “Armenpress”TASS reports this.
“We discussed urgent international issues. It is clear that we paid special attention to various aspects of the unprecedented escalation of tension in the Persian Gulf zone, the reason of which is the military aggression of the USA and Israel against Iran,” Lavrov said at the press conference dedicated to the results of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS.
On April 17, the regular session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS was held in Moscow, in which the representatives of Armenia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan participated. Armenia was presented at the session by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan.
