The Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026 will be a new opportunity for Honduras to compete against the best athletes in the region and continue to strengthen its presence within the Olympic cycle.
He event sports will begin on July 24 and end on August 8. It will host more than 4,000 athletes from 37 different countries and will test the talents of participants in more than 25 disciplines.
In accordance with the headquarters planning of the Central American and Caribbean Games 2026the competitions will be concentrated in five areas of the Dominican Republic: Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, Metropolitan Cluster, Parque del Este, North Zone and East Zone.

He Honduran Olympic Committeeo (COH) has the honor of officially presenting the athletes Natalie Gabriela Espinal Sánchez and Derek David Midence Aguilar as the dropouts of the national delegation that will represent Honduras.
Natalie Gabriela Espinal Sánchez reaches this appointment after becoming a gold medalist in tennis at the 2025 Central American Sports Games, a result that reaffirmed her sporting quality and competitive growth at the regional level.
For its part, Derek David Midence Aguilar will be the male abandonment of Honduras after standing out in the discipline of taekwondo, where he won a gold medal at the 2025 Central American Sports Games.
They will be present at official events of great importance, including the presidential swearing-in of the national delegation and the opening parade of the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026.
