The choice of Tangier for holding this forum is not due to chance. The city has been able to benefit greatly from its geographical positioning as a meeting point between Europe and Africa as well as the attractiveness of major structuring projects.
Forum: This new meeting will allow the development of a common roadmap based on three axes: the promotion of investments, the development of sustainable entrepreneurship in the public and private sectors while banking on the geographical position of the region as a gateway to the markets of Europe and Africa.
Contribute to strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation between Morocco, Tunisia and Libya, while examining ways to develop competitiveness clusters for the benefit of the region as a whole. These are among the main objectives of the Maghreb Business and Investment Forum planned for Tangier on June 11 and 12 under the theme “For a prosperous and sustainable Maghreb economic complementarity”. It is intended to create a platform for exchange and partnership development between Moroccan, Tunisian and Libyan operators and businessmen in promising sectors. This Maghreb friendship forum is part of “the opening of the region to its environment and its support for the process of economic complementarity between the Maghreb countries”, according to the organizers.
This new meeting – which will be organized with the support of the Libyan Export Development Authority (LEDA) and at the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (CCIS-TTA), as well as other Tunisian and Libyan partner institutions – is part of a series of meetings aimed at helping to develop economic and commercial relations between the TTA region and the Maghreb countries. “This forum is a strategic step for the activation of economic complementarity between the countries of Morocco, Tunisia and Libya and the development of a common road map,” said the same source.
This common roadmap is based on three axes: the promotion of investments (in the sectors of basic infrastructure, energy and industry) and the development of sustainable entrepreneurship in the public and private sectors. This involves capitalizing on the unique geographical location of the three countries of Morocco, Tunisia and Libya by transforming this region into a take-off platform and a gateway to emerging African markets.
The choice of Tangier for holding this forum is not due to chance. The city has been able to benefit greatly from its geographical positioning as a meeting point between Europe and Africa as well as the attractiveness of major structuring projects (industrial zones and economic activities, Tangier port complex, the Tangier-Casablanca high-speed line), etc. Which has enabled the city of the strait to make progress in promising sectors, led by automobiles and aeronautics, and will thus serve as a reference development model during this forum.
Note that this event provides for B2B meetings between Moroccan, Tunisian and Libyan economic players in the sectors of banking, finance, energy, infrastructure, trade and logistics as well as agriculture and maritime fishing. The program of this meeting also includes field visits to major structuring projects in Tangier and its region.
