His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, affirmed the distinguished bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Canada, which enjoy a mutual keenness to continue advancing their paths towards more distinguished and broader horizons at all levels, in a way that contributes to achieving common goals and aspirations. His Highness pointed to the importance of building on what has been achieved in terms of cooperation and joint coordination to create promising opportunities that will bring growth and prosperity to the two countries.
This came during a meeting with His Highness, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, and Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, on the occasion of her visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the third joint ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Canada, where the Canadian Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of His Excellency Mr. Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada, to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and his wishes for the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity, while His Highness carried her conveying His greetings to the Prime Minister of Canada and his wishes for Canada’s continued growth and progress. His Highness expressed his hopes that the meetings will be crowned with success and success, achieve the desired goals, and that their outcomes will be an impetus for strengthening joint cooperation between the GCC countries and Canada.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister stressed the importance represented by the third joint ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Canada, in enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two sides in various fields, in order to achieve common goals and support efforts to consolidate security, stability and development in the region and the world.
During the meeting, the paths of bilateral relations and ways of developing bilateral cooperation and coordination in all fields, especially in the economic and trade fields, were reviewed, and topics of common interest and the latest developments on the regional and international arenas were discussed.
For her part, Anita Anand, Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, affirmed Canada’s support for the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in confronting the sinful Iranian attacks, noting the necessity of opening the Strait of Hormuz to preserve freedom of maritime navigation. She expressed her deep thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, for the interest and keenness he gives to strengthening bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Canada in all fields, and his support for joint cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Canada, wishing May the Kingdom of Bahrain continue its prosperity, progress and development.
