Members of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton arrested Sergej Furtula from East Sarajevo.

He is suspected of attempted murder in the firefight that took place on Sunday in the memorial park in Vraca.

– The arrested person is still receiving hospital treatment at the KCUS, said the spokeswoman of the MUP KS Mersiha Novalić.

Furtula also took part in the skirmish in Vraca, and was treated in the hospital for his injuries.

We would like to remind you that as part of the investigation, another of the perpetrators of the shooting in Vrace – Amel Bogućanin – was previously arrested. In addition to him, Amar Garibović was also arrested, who is linked to this event.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton requested a one-month detention for them.

– Their detention was proposed due to the risk of escape, the risk of concealing evidence, obstructing the investigation, influencing witnesses, repeating the criminal offense and because of the risk that the public could be disturbed if the suspects were released, the Sarajevo Prosecutor’s Office announced.
