In Dzoraget settlement of Pambak community of Lori region, an inclusive multi-functional public space was officially opened, aimed at activating community life, increasing the involvement of young people and promoting social cohesion.
“Armenpress”According to the report, the initiative was carried out within the framework of the UNDP “Resilience from the Beginning” program, with the financial support of the Government of Serbia and in cooperation with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia.

UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia Natia Natsvlishvili emphasized the importance of the project, noting that similar areas contribute to strengthening social cohesion and provide a safe and inclusive environment for both local residents and displaced persons from Nagorno Karabakh.

“The newly opened space will expand access to educational and cultural initiatives, providing the activities of theater, art and other creative groups for more than 7,000 residents, 58 percent of whom are women and children. The area was designed through participatory processes, ensuring the involvement of women and vulnerable groups, including refugees, in local decision-making processes,” he noted.
Speaking about the importance of the project, Deputy Governor of Lori Arsen Gharibyan emphasized that such initiatives have a great role in the development of communities and the activation of young people. According to him, the center established in Dzoraget will open new opportunities for young people and will contribute to the discovery of their creative potential.

“This center is an important platform for the youth of the community. An interesting and modern environment has been created, which will enable them to develop ideas, acquire new skills and effectively organize their free time. Such programs are important not only from the point of view of the development of the region, but also of the entire country,” said Darbinyan.
He also added that before the establishment of the center, there was no such area in the community, due to which young people often visited nearby settlements in order to provide employment.

Serbian Ambassador to Armenia Tatiana Panayotovic-Cvetkovic noted that the program was implemented within the framework of funding allocated by the Serbian government, which is aimed at supporting various development initiatives in Armenia.

“This is the moment when we see the results of our work in Armenia. This space creates new opportunities for community residents, especially young people. It is important for us to support the development of Armenia in various directions, and such programs are one of the best examples of this. The smiles of the children and the positive reaction of the community residents are the biggest result of our work,” the ambassador emphasized.
