Given that the summer holidays are approaching, many parents will soon start shopping for swimwear for their children, and experts warn that when choosing, you should also think about safety, not just appearance.
One of the key factors is the color of the swimsuit, as it can significantly affect how visible the child is in the water.
Water safety experts point out that some colors easily blend in with the environment, especially in pools, lakes and the sea, which can make it difficult to spot a child quickly.
According to available visibility tables, white, blue, gray and green often become poorly visible underwater, while bright hues stand out much better.
Pink and orange, which are the most visible in different types of water, are the safest choice. Yellow also shows up well in natural waters, while purple can be more noticeable in pools.
Experts especially emphasize that the color cannot replace adult supervision, but it can help the child to be more easily followed and spotted more quickly in case of danger.
