The first cooking workshop was held this Tuesday, May 5, in a good, pleasant and relaxed atmosphere Good food in cooperation with the leading chicken brand, Cecino. The eight participants took their positions in the beautiful kitchen right at the beginning Gourmet Pointin Zagreb’s Gajeva street, ready to learn about new techniques and ways of preparing a piece of meat that is sometimes neglected, but gives so much – drumstick and drumstick.
The head of the workshop, Sergio Varela, first greeted everyone, and when everyone had relaxed enough, the preparation of the first course began – chicken Kiev in a slightly different way. In addition to the basic recipe, the participants also learned how to thin a piece of meat so that it is ready for a roll, then fill it with aromatic fillings, and then roll it. When the piece of meat was stored in the freezer to rest, the preparation of the other two dishes began.
Next was Pollo aj Ajillo, a juicy drumstick in a wine sauce, a dish that the participants especially liked because of the simplicity of preparation, but also because of the rich taste that can be achieved with only a few key ingredients. Next, ssam was prepared – Korean chicken, more precisely, zabatak, which Varela previously marinated in yogurt, and then served as a roll in a salad leaf. With the addition of kimchi, fresh paprika and a special spicy sauce, the dish turned out fantastic.
When the participants finished preparing the last dish, delicious fried zabtak rolls filled with aromatic butter, it immediately became a favorite. We ended the workshop with a food tasting, which was, of course, the best part. The participants told us how they can’t wait to repeat the meals at home, and then they left the gathering satisfied, with bags full of Good Food and Cekin gifts.
