KUCHING (June 8): Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin has announced a total allocation of RM410,000 for development projects and community activities in Kampung Emperoh Jambu, in Padawan near here.
He made the announcement during a Gawai celebration hosted by the People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) at the village’s community hall on Saturday night.
The allocation comprises RM100,000 under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2026 grant, meant for a village drainage project; RM100,000 under Projek Mesra Rakyat (PMR) 2026 grant, meant for upgrading works on an agricultural road; RM200,000 under PMR 2027 grant, meant for the fencing of the Kampung Emperoh Jambu multi-purpose hall; and RM10,000 to support Rela activities in the village.
Adding on, Willie expressed his appreciation to Rela members for their dedication and voluntary service in safeguarding the safety, security and harmony of the village.
“I would like to congratulate all Rela members who continue to serve with dedication, volunteerism and a strong sense of responsibility.
“The efforts and sacrifices they make, whether while carrying out their duties or supporting community programmes such as this celebration, are greatly appreciated and serve as an example to others,” he said.
On the Gawai celebration, Willie said the event provided an opportunity to strengthen unity and foster closer cooperation among villagers.
“Let us continue to work hand in hand, help one another and maintain the spirit of togetherness for the progress and well-being of our community,” he said.
