Last November, the influencer couple Marco Andre Da Silva (36) and Shelby Thompson (28) her pregnancy exclusively at 20 minutes announced; Her son was born six weeks ago. Mother and child spent the first week after the birth in the hospital. “The birth was very difficult, we had about 35 hours until he was born with the help of two epidurals (epidural anesthesia) and a suction cup,” the neo-mother tells 20 Minutes.
Although she the birth physically strenuous, it was one of the “most beautiful things” she had ever experienced. When Shelby was finally allowed to go home with her son, her partner pampered her: “I’ve never eaten so well, Marco served us really well.” The three of them slept and cuddled a lot.
Marco Andre Da Silva becomes a “diaper professional”
For daddy Marco it is something very special to hold his son in his arms: “As a woman you carry the child inside you, as a man you don’t have the same bond before the birth.” While his partner recovered from the birth, he became a “diaper professional”.
“It’s a huge change, but it’s also wonderful,” the two say about their new everyday life. For Marco, eye and body contact with something is the most beautiful thing: “Feeling the warmth of this little person is something very special.”

Baby has Shelby’s eyes and Marco’s temper
The biggest challenge is getting to know and developing an understanding of what the baby needs. “Sometimes he screams and I think, ‘You’ve eaten, slept and new diapers, what else do you need?'” explains Shelby. Marco also felt “helpless” at times at the beginning, but day by day they get to know their son better. “We are finding our way more and more,” the two share.
Shelby and Marco already see certain similarities to themselves in their offspring. The baby has his mommy’s eyes, his daddy’s eyebrows. “And he also got the Portuguese temperament from Marco,” says the content creator with a laugh.
