VISION City has partnered with the Philippines department of tourism and Philippines Airlines to host a two-day medical tourism fair on June 5 and 6 at the megamall in Port Moresby.
It will display Philippines’ premier healthcare offerings to Papua New Guinea.
Philippines department of tourism product planning and development division official Justinne Aubrey Guce said the fair would showcase some of the Philippines’ world-class hospitals, specialised medical services, and integrated tourism offerings to Papua New Guineans.
“It will provide an opportunity for everybody to interact directly with the Philippine healthcare providers, explore treatment options and learn about medical travel arrangements,” she said.
The fair will feature dedicated booths from major Philippine medical and travel institutions, including the Philippine department of tourism, Philippine Airlines, Chinese General Hospital and Medical Centre, Manila Doctors Hospital and Health & Leisure.
Vision City general manager Anderson Ting said that it was a privilege for the Vision City Mega Mall to host the Philippine department of tourism and its partners for the fair.
“We are proud to provide a platform that brings together leading healthcare providers, tourism stakeholders, and the community,” he said.
“This event highlights the growing relationship between Papua New Guinea and the Philippines and creates valuable opportunities for our shoppers and the wider public to learn about world class healthcare and wellness services available in the region.”
Ting said he hoped the event strengthened awareness of the healthcare, wellness, and tourism opportunities available through the Philippines while fostering stronger connections between organisations and individuals from both countries.
He invited shoppers, families, and members of the public to visit the fair at the Vision City Mega Mall on June 5 and 6.
Meanwhile, in partnership with the Philippines Embassy, Vision City would also be hosting the annual Filipino Food Fest from June 8-14 at the mall complex.
Ting said the event was to start celebrations leading up to the Philippines Independence Day on June 12.
