“Poland is ready to create new technologies and take part in the digital revolution,” President Karol Nawrocki said during the ElevenLabs Summit in Warsaw. He stressed that Poland’s security depends on technological development and strong transatlantic relations.
“Today, Poland is ready not only to consume new technologies from around the world, although we are always open to international cooperation, but, thanks to companies such as ElevenLabs, we are demonstrating that we are ready to create new technologies and to participate in the Industry 4.0 revolution, the technological transformation that is shaping the entire world in the 21st century,”
the president said during his speech at the ElevenLabs Summit held at the Grand Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw.
Nawrocki noted that Poland has become a leader in economic growth and is now the world’s 20th-largest economy, an achievement made possible in part by the efforts of Polish entrepreneurs.
“In December this year, for the first time as President of Poland, I will take part in a meeting of the G20. (…) This is thanks to entrepreneurs such as Mateusz and Piotr (Mati Staniszewski and Piotr Dąbkowski, the founders of ElevenLabs – PAP), who are expanding our economic potential and helping make Poland a bastion of Western civilization in the field of technology,”
he said.
The risks posed by AI
The president also addressed concerns related to the development of artificial intelligence. He emphasized, however, that he has no such concerns “when it comes to ElevenLabs and other responsible Polish technology companies.”
“That is because I was one of the first institutional users of ElevenLabs while serving as president of the Institute of National Remembrance. Together with ElevenLabs, Director Magdalena Hajduk, now the minister responsible for new technologies, helped restore the voices of Polish heroes,”
Nawrocki said.
The president stressed that Poland and Europe must stay committed to technological development and strong transatlantic ties, “because they provide an impulse for the Polish economy, but also guarantee our security.”
Presidential support through legislation
Nawrocki pledged to support entrepreneurs and the technological revolution through presidential legislative initiatives. As an example, he cited the draft law establishing the Breakthrough Technologies Development Fund.
The bill was submitted to parliament in September last year. According to information published on the Sejm website, it is intended to provide direct capital support for Polish companies developing strategically important technologies. Part of the fund’s budget would be allocated to financing research and development projects and strengthening cooperation between universities, industry, and public institutions.
Founded in 2022 by Polish entrepreneurs Mati Staniszewski and Piotr Dąbkowski, ElevenLabs has become a global player in the field of generative audio AI. The company develops artificial intelligence tools for the creative, publishing, and media sectors. In 2024, its valuation was estimated at $3.3 billion.
