Attacks in the Gulf: the US hits Qeshm. Iranian missiles on Bahrain and Kuwait More cross-attacks between the US and Iran, while negotiations for a permanent ceasefire remain stalled. The US army launched what it called “self-defense” raids against the Islamic Republic, hitting the island of Qeshm, in the Strait of Hormuz, targeting an Iranian military land control station. At the same time, added the US Central Command for the Middle East (Centcom), ballistic missiles and drones aimed at ships and Gulf countries were shot down. Tehran responded by striking targets in Bahrain and Kuwait, where US military bases are located.
