The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahudeclared on Monday that he had informed US President Donald Trump that he will order an attack on Beirut if Hezbollah does not cease its hostilities.
“This afternoon he spoke to President Trump and told him that if Hezbollah does not stop attacking our cities and our citizens, Israel will attack terrorist targets in Beirut,” Netanyahu said.
“Our position on this matter remains the same. At the same time, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will continue to operate as planned in southern Lebanon,” he added.
