Johannesburg (South Africa) June 2, 2026 (SPS)The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party in South Africa renewed its firm and unconditional position in support of the Sahrawi people and their just struggle to achieve their freedom and complete independence.
This came during a major celebration organized by the party on the occasion of “Africa Day”, in the presence of its prominent leaders and organizational formations, as well as representatives of the accredited African diplomatic corps.
In a speech in which he reviewed the continent’s liberation history and the struggles of its peoples against colonialism, the party’s president, Mr. Julius Malema, stressed the historical inevitability of decolonizing Western Sahara as “the last colony in Africa.”

Malema also strongly condemned the Kingdom of Morocco and what he described as “continuous intransigence” in the face of the clarity of international legitimacy resolutions.
In this context, he considered it “a shame to celebrate the liberation of the African continent, at a time when the Sahrawi people are still suffering under the burden of occupation and their natural resources are being subjected to continuous plunder.”
For his part, the Sahrawi Ambassador to South Africa, Brother Abah El Madd, delivered a speech during the occasion, in which he expressed the Sahrawi party’s appreciation and appreciation for the principled and noble positions of South Africa with its various components and party organizations, praising its constant accompaniment to the struggles of the Sahrawi people and their steadfastness in the face of challenges.
