A 68-year-old Las Lomas woman was robbed at gunpoint inside her home on Tuesday morning after three intruders confronted her moments after she returned to the property.
Police said the incident occurred around 11.30 a.m. at a house along Rodney Road, Las Lomas No. 2.
The pensioner had just entered her home when she was startled by three men who were already inside the building.
One of the suspects, armed with a gun, pointed the weapon at her face and ordered her to remain quiet and sit on a couch.
The bandits then robbed the woman of a quantity of jewellery, including a gold chain, wedding bands, a gold ring and two silver bracelets. They also stole $1,200 in cash from her purse, along with two Samsung cellular phones.
After taking the items, the suspects escaped by jumping over the front fence.
The gunman was described as being of African descent, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, dark brown in complexion, with a short hairstyle. He was dressed in a black jersey and had a piece of cloth covering his nose and mouth.
