The fourth protest called in Tirana against the constructions in Zvërnec has ended after more than three hours.
Unlike the other three protests, today’s started with a clash, as the citizens confronted the police as they tore through the metal fence at Ura e Lana, established as a security measure for the friendly match between Albania and Israel, and marched gathering in front of the prime minister’s office.
Just like the days before, even today the citizens made their demands clear, and again demanded the cancellation of the project and its resignation from the government. Among other things, they emphasized again that they have rejected his invitation to sit down for dialogue.
“Edi Rama, there is only one last decision left for you to make, to resign. Your time of mocking the Albanians, with Kombinat, Durrës, Lezha, Vlora and stealing Albania has come to an end.
You are a thief and a master thief, you are a traitor to Albania. You should have resigned an hour ago.
Without you giving up this office, we will not leave. We’ll stay here until you say: “I’m done.” I have only one word for all Albanians tired and tormented by Edi Rama, let’s stay here until we realize the resignation of Edi Rama”. said one of the citizens.
“It is clear that it is a people’s protest, there is no need for organizers. You are the ones who call, who make the decisions. We do not have a dialogue group for the prime minister, dialogue is the square”. said another.
The protest ended around 21:30 with the unanimous call of all the protesters “Rama resigns” and “more tomorrow”, again calling on citizens to join at the same time and place on Thursday, June 4.
