The High Court of St. Kitts and Nevis has sentenced Travis Christmas to four and a half years in prison after he was convicted of indecent assault in connection with a 2023 incident, according to a press release issued by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.
The sentence was handed down on May 20th, 2026, by His Lordship Justice Patrick Thompson Jr. in the High Court of St. Kitts and Nevis. Mr Christmas was previously found guilty on April 2nd, 2026.
The conviction stemmed from an incident that occurred on July 18th, 2023. The Court also ordered that time already spent on remand be deducted from the sentence.
In addition to the custodial sentence, Mr Christmas was ordered to pay XCD $1,000 in compensation toward counselling for the aggrieved party by July 17th, 2026. Failure to comply with the order will result in an additional six months’ imprisonment, to run consecutively with his current sentence.
In its statement, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force reaffirmed its commitment to working alongside the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to ensure that offenders are brought to justice. The Force also encouraged victims of sexual offences to come forward and report such matters without fear.
