The document has been published in the Commercial Register, and at the moment the change has not yet been entered, and the legal term of three days is awaited, reports Mediapool.

During Hristov’s mandate as energy minister, Bulgaria signed a contract with the Turkish company “Botash” for the transmission of natural gas, which, according to public data, costs the country nearly BGN 1 million per day. The fee is due regardless of whether quantities of gas are transferred, and the term of the contract is 13 years, and its termination is possible upon payment of the entire amount due.
Despite criticism that the agreement was disadvantageous for Bulgaria, after its signing, Hristov defined it as a “historic moment”. He attended the ceremony in Turkey, his signature appearing under some of the documents. Both Hristov and Prime Minister Rumen Radev rejected the claims that the contract was unprofitable and defined the criticism as a “political attack”.
In recent years, several governments have said they are trying to renegotiate the terms of the agreement, but so far without success.

She said that her team is analyzing already sent proposals, prepared by the previous minister Traicho Traikov, and that a meeting between the two sides is coming, at which the initial Bulgarian position will be presented. The goal is to reach a mutually acceptable solution to the contract. Deputy Minister Kiril Temelkov said that the agreement remains a tool that can be activated if necessary, depending on the country’s needs.
Last year, the Anti-Corruption Commission entered Rosen Hristov’s apartmentas well as in the companies “Bulgargaz”, “Bulgartransgaz” in connection with the “Botash” contract.
