
MANILA, Philippines — A residential area in the City of Manila caught fire on Wednesday evening, the local government said.
According to the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, the fire was located along Sevilla Street in Barangay, 121, Tondo, Manila.

The office said the fire was first reported around 7:40 p.m., and was raised a few minutes later to the 1st alarm by 7:48 p.m.
The fire was then raised to the 2nd alarm by 7:58 p.m. and then further to the 3rd alarm less than 10 minutes later at 8:05 p.m.
“The public is advised to avoid the area to prevent interfering with firefighting operations and to allow responding authorities to pass,” the Manila Public Information Office said in Filipino in an advisory.
The fire was reported to have been under control by fire responders at around 9:26 p.m. before being fully extinguished at exactly 9:49 p.m. /jpv
