The accident occurred in April 2025, when the two STF employees fell over a hundred meters after a competition had finished at what is known as the Halspasset.
The investigation is now complete, and the prosecutor believes that STF has committed a work environment crime, causing the death of another person.
The STF accepted the fine.
“The prosecutor’s assessment is that we have failed in our routines and we share that assessment. It is heavy. It is very heavy to say that, but there is nothing else we can do,” Maria Ros Hjelm, Secretary General of STF, told NSD.
STF has taken measures that have been approved by the Swedish Work Environment Authority and will establish a memorial site for the deceased.
