The American side noted the rich cultural heritage and centuries-old traditions of the Turkmen people associated with breeding this breed.
According to the US Embassy’s social media page, the two sides hope to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries following the visit.
Sarah B. Rogers is the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy. She assumed her position on October 10, 2025, and oversees international engagement, as well as educational and cultural exchange programs. Her trip to Turkmenistan is part of a comprehensive tour of South and Central Asia, covering India, Nepal, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan from May 27 to June 10, 2026. This is Rogers’ first major visit to the Central Asian region since her appointment.
